Once you connect an email address to your Waze account, you can log in without a password. If you prefer to sign in with a username and password, you can do so.
First, set your username. Then, create a password:
- Open Waze
- Tap
- Tap Settings
- Tap Account and login
- Tap Password
- Enter your password
- Tap Save
Tip: You can save your sign-in credentials with Google or Apple features.

How do I recover my password?
If you forgot your password, you can reset it by email.
- Go to the reset password page
- Enter the email address connected to your Waze account
- Click Send email
- Open the email account that you entered in the reset password page
- Look for an email from Waze
- Open the email and tap the link that says “To reset your password click here”
- Enter your new password
- Tap Submit
If you didn’t get an email from Waze:
- Check for typos in your email address
- Try another email address
Still not getting an email from Waze?
It's likely that you didn't add an email address to your Waze account. In that case, create a new Waze account with your Google account or an email address.
