The Live Map is the web version of Waze. Use it to plan your drive and assess road conditions from your computer, laptop, or tablet. The most common way to log in is with a QR code.
Log in with a QR code
- Go to the Live Map
- Click Log in
- Scan the QR code that appears on the screen using your phone's camera
- Follow the instructions on your phone to verify your account and complete the login
Don't see a QR code on the sign in page? Make sure you're using a web browser on a desktop device.
Log in with your username & password
- Go to the Live Map
- Click Log in
- Enter your username and password in the relevant fields
- Click Sign in. You'll be asked to verify your account with a code.
- Check your email for the verification code
- Enter this code into the verification screen on your computer to complete the login
Log in with your Google account
- Go to the Live Map
- Click Log in
- Click Sign in with Google
- Select your Google account to log in

Why can't I scan the QR code?

Check your device's version:

Android: You need Android 10 or higher to scan QR codes with your device's built-in camera. Learn how to check and update your Android version.

iOS: You need iOS 16 or higher to scan QR codes with your device's built-in camera. Learn how to update your iOS version.

Turn on QR scanner settings: Your QR scanner may be turned off in your device's settings. Search for "QR" in your device's settings and turn on QR scanning.

Turn up your screen brightness: Make sure the screen showing the QR code is bright enough for the camera to see the code

Clean your camera lens: A smudged camera lens can interfere with scanning. Try cleaning it with a lens wipe or a soft, clean cloth.

Keep your phone upright: If your phone is tilted, the camera may have trouble scanning the QR code

Find the right distance: Hold your camera near the QR code. Then, slowly move the camera away from the QR code until your camera is able to scan it.
Why can't I log in to my account?
- There aren't any typos in your username or password
- Your caps lock is turned off
- Your keyboard is in the right language
Note: If you're using your phone to access your email for the verification code:
- Go to your inbox on your phone
- Open the verification email
- Enter the code into the verification screen on your computer to complete the login

Try logging in with a different login method that you didn't use before.
Why didn't I get a verification email?
- Make sure there aren't any typos in your username or password
- Make sure you're in the inbox of the correct email address
- Check your email's spam folder for the verification code
- Search for "noreply@waze.com" in your inbox
Note: If you're using your phone to access your email for the verification code:
- Go to your inbox on your phone
- Open the verification email
- Enter the code into the verification screen on your computer
Still having issues?
- On your phone's verification screen, tap Send again to resend the verification email
- Try logging in with a different login method that you didn't use before
Why wasn't my email verified?
- Close the Live Map login window and open it again
- Click Log in
Then, find the verification code based on the device you're using:

- Go to your inbox in a new browser tab
- Open the verification email
- Enter the code into the verification screen on your computer
Why doesn't the email have a verification code?
The verification code should appear in the body of the email sent to your inbox. If you don't see a code, try the following:
- On your phone's verification screen, tap Send again to resend the verification email
- If you still don't see a code, try to log in again:
- Close the Live Map login window and open it again
- Click Log in
- Scan the QR code or enter your username and password
Then, find the verification code based on the device you're using:

Why do I need to choose between 2 accounts?
