Use Siri shortcuts in Waze

You can give Waze voice commands through Siri on your iOS device. You can tell Siri to:

  • Navigate with Waze
  • Control some Waze settings

Create your shortcuts

You can create shortcuts to a place only if it's been saved as a saved place. Learn how to add saved places.

  1. Open Waze
  2. Tap
  3. Tap Settings
  4. Tap Voice and sound
  5. Tap Siri Shortcuts
  6. Tap a shortcut and record your voice

Tip: You can personalize your shortcuts. For example, you can say “Beam me up!” instead of “Take me home."

Once set up, say “Hey Siri” followed by the shortcut you created. If you say “Hey Siri, beam me up!” Waze will automatically open and start navigating home.

Privacy and Siri Shortcuts

When you enter your home address as a location, Waze will not share that this is your home address.
However, Apple does have access to what you tell Siri. If you tell Siri to drive to 123 ABC Street, Apple may understand that this is your home address.
