Control your music in Waze

Use the audio player to control what you listen to as you navigate.  

Turn on the audio controls

The audio controls are automatically turned on if you have at least one of Waze's supported audio apps installed. You see this icon on the map:   

If you don't see the icon on the map:

  1. Open Waze
  2. Tap the Menu , then Settings 
  3. Tap Audio player
  4. Turn on Show audio player 
  5. Under Audio player apps or More apps tap the audio player app you want to connect

To disconnect an audio player app, tap Disconnect beside the app.  

How to use the audio controls

1. Tap this icon on the map: 
2. Tap the audio player app you want to use
3. Tap Accept when asked if you want to connect the audio player app to Waze
4. Use the audio controls at the top of the screen:
  • Play
  • Pause
  • Forward
  • Backward
You can access more content from the audio player app, like playlists, radio stations and saved songs, by tapping Show list.
Tap Audio Apps to switch to another connected audio player app. 
To close the audio controls, tap the gray arrow.
To re-open the audio controls, tap the audio player app's icon on your map. 

Note: Your audio app must be online for the functionality to work properly.

Waze's audio controls support the following audio player apps:

Android: Spotify, NPR One, Pandora, TuneIn, Deezer, Scribd, Stitcher, iHeart Radio, Radio.com, Audiobooks.com, NRJ Radio

iOS: Spotify, Deezer, Scribd, Stitcher, iHeart Radio, TuneIn, Pandora, Radio.com, Audiobooks.com, NRJ Radio
