Waze currently offers alerts for high-risk areas only in Israel and limited areas in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In these locations, you’ll get an alert:
- Before you start navigating to a high-risk area
- If and when you enter a high-risk area
Waze avoids high-risk areas by default.
