Plan a drive

Schedule a drive for a future time and get a reminder when it's time to go.

Before planning a drive, make sure to turn on "Time to leave" notifications.

1. Open Waze
2. Tap 
3. Tap Plan a drive
4. Tap + at the bottom-right corner
5. Enter your destination in the search bar 
6. Tap the relevant destination
7. Select the day and time you want to arrive at your destination 
8. Tap Save

Waze will remind you when it’s time to leave, based on real-time traffic. The notification is also based on where you are at the time, but only if you allow Waze to use your phone’s GPS location.

View your planned drives

You can view your planned drive at any time.

1. Open Waze
2. Tap 
3. Tap Plan a drive

Find parking near a planned drive

1. Open Waze
2. Tap 
3. Tap Plan a drive
4. Find the drive that you want to find parking for
5. Tap  next to the drive
6. Tap Find parking. You should see parking lots on the map close to your destination.
7. Tap the parking lot you want to park at
8. Tap Park here
9. Tap when you want to leave:
   • Go now
   • Leave later. To schedule a later drive, select the date and time you want to arrive at the parking lot. Then tap Save.

Note: Tapping Leave later creates a new drive to the parking lot in addition to your original planned drive. To delete the original planned drive, follow the instructions below.

Delete a planned drive

1. Open Waze
2. Tap 
3. Tap Plan a drive
4. Find the drive that you want to delete
5. Tap  next to the drive
6. Tap Remove

Can I schedule a drive from a different start point?

Yes. You can schedule a drive from a different start point than your current location.

Can I add a stop to my drive?

You can add a stop before or during your drive but not when planning a drive.
