Play Waze sounds through your Bluetooth device

Use Bluetooth to play Waze voice directions and alerts through your car speaker and other compatible devices.

Step 1: Turn on Bluetooth on your device

1. Open Settings on your device
2. Turn on "Bluetooth"

Note: Steps may vary by device.

Step 2: Turn on Bluetooth in Waze

1. Open Waze
2. ​Tap
3. Tap Settings
4. Tap Voice and sound
5. Under “Sound”, tap Play sound via
6. Tap Play as Bluetooth phone call

When Waze gives you directions or alerts, you’ll hear them through your Bluetooth device, and your phone will look like it does when you’re calling someone.

I can’t connect Waze to Bluetooth

Try these workarounds:

Change your navigation voice

1.  Open Waze
2. Tap 
3. Tap Settings
4. Tap Voice and sound
5. Tap Waze voice
6. Select the voice you want to use

Reinstall Waze

Uninstall Waze from your device and reinstall it from the Google Play Store or the App Store.

Tip: Make sure to add an email address to your Waze account so you can log in again.
