Activate Facebook features for Waze

In Waze, you can use the following Facebook features. Learn more by pressing each feature below.

Note: To use these features, make sure to first connect an email address to your Waze account and verify it.

 

Facebook friends

Activate Facebook friends to let you and your friends:

• See each other on the Waze map
• See each others’ ETAs – learn more
• Send each other messages – learn more

 

To activate Facebook friends:

1. Open Waze
2. Tap Search 
3. Tap your name near the top of the screen
4. Tap My friends
5. Tap Show Facebook friends confirm

From now on, to turn this feature on or off, follow the steps at the bottom of this page.

Facebook events

Spend less time in traffic and arrive to your Facebook events on time. Waze calculates the best time to leave for your upcoming Facebook events, and will notify you when it's time to leave.

To activate Facebook events:

1. Open Waze
2. Tap Search  and then Settings  
3. Tap Planned drives
4. Tap Connect Facebook events  Continue with Facebook

Facebook events are now activated.

From now on, to turn this feature on or off, follow the steps at the bottom of this page.

Connect Facebook to your Waze Carpool profile

Let riders view some Facebook details on your Waze Carpool profile, like your picture and name, which can help help build trust.

To activate this feature:

1. Open Waze and then tap Carpool
2. Tap Settings   Edit profile
3. Scroll down and tap Connect with Facebook

From now on, to turn this feature on or off, follow the steps at the bottom of this page.

 

Turn Facebook features on or off

Once you activate a feature above, here's how to turn it on or off:

1. Open Waze
2. Tap Search  and then Settings
3. Tap Account & login  Facebook

You’ll find a list of the features you activated. Tap the switches to turn them on or off.
