Submit debug logs

When you report an issue, our support team may ask you to send your debug logs to get more information. Learn more about debug logs.

Note: Debug mode is turned on automatically for Beta users. If you're a Beta user, skip to step 2.

Step 1: Turn on debug mode

  1. Open Waze
  2. Tap the search bar
  3. Type 2##2
  4. Tap the magnifying glass on your phone's keyboard
  5. In the message that appears, tap OK
  6. Close Waze

Step 2: Send your debug logs

  1. Open Waze
  2. Do the same thing in the app that didn’t work for you. Take a screenshot if you can.
  3. Tap
  4. Tap Debug
  5. Tap Yes and wait for a confirmation message

Step 3: Exit debug mode

  1. Tap the search bar
  2. Type 2##2
  3. Tap the magnifying glass on your phone's keyboard
  4. In the message that appears, tap OK

Submit debug logs on Android Auto

Step 1: Turn on debug mode 

  1. Disconnect your device from your Android Auto unit
  2. Open Waze
  3. Tap the search bar
  4. Type 2##2
  5. Tap the magnifying glass on your phone's keyboard
  6. In the message that appears, tap OK
  7. Close Waze

Step 2: Send your debug logs

  1. Connect your device to your Android Auto unit
  2. Do the same thing in the app that didn’t work for you. Take a screenshot if you can.
  3. Disconnect your device from your Android Auto unit
  4. Open Waze on your Android Auto unit 
  5. Tap   
  6. Scroll down and tap Debug
  7. Tap Settings
  8. Scroll down and tap Send logs
  9. Tap Yes and wait for a confirmation message
