Add a stop to your route

While navigating, you can add a stop to your route on the way to your final destination.

Add a stop on Android

  1. Tap the ETA bar at the bottom of the screen
  2. Tap Add a stop to search for a location. For suggested stops, tap the food or gas icon.
  3. Tap the location you want to add
  4. Tap Go

Your stop is marked on your route by a pin. It’s also listed on the ETA screen above your final destination.  

To remove a stop, tap it on the ETA screen, and then tap Remove.

If you want to change your final destination instead of adding a stop, tap New drive instead of Add a stop.

Your stop is marked on your route by a blue pin. It’s also listed on the ETA screen above your final destination.  The route to the stop is highlighted in light purple.

If you want to change your final destination instead of adding a stop, tap New drive instead of Add a stop.

Add a stop on Android Auto

  1. Tap Add a stop on the route summary screen

  2. Search for a location

  3. Tap the location, and then Add a stop

Your stop is marked on your route by a blue pin. It’s also listed on the ETA screen above your final destination.  

If you want to change your final destination instead of adding a stop, tap New drive instead of Add a stop.

Stops can't be removed from routes on Android Auto. 

Add a stop on iOS

  1. Tap the ETA bar at the bottom of the screen

  2. Scroll down to Add a stop

  3. Tap one of the icons to search for a location: Parking lots, Gas stations, Restaurants, Search bar

  4. Tap Go

A pop up should appear with both the ETA to your stop point and the ETA to your final destination. You can view this information again at any time by tapping the ETA bar.

You can also add a stop by choosing a location from your Favorites or previous drives.
