Get personalized navigation

Waze uses your past drives and route selections to give you more accurate estimated times of arrival (ETAs) and suggest routes you might prefer.

Manage personalized ETAs

Waze can learn from your past drives and calculate how long it takes you to drive through a road segment. It then compares this information with Waze's traffic estimates to give you more accurate, personalized ETAs.

Note: If you delete drives from your navigation history, they won't be used for personalizing your ETAs.

Got questions?

Why am I not getting personalized ETAs?

There are a few reasons you may not be getting personalized ETAs:
  • ETA personalization isn't currently supported in your area
  • You don't have enough drives in your navigation history. Drive around a little more and you'll likely get personalized ETAs.

Manage personalized routes

Waze uses your past drives and routes—those you selected and those you didn't— to suggest routes you might prefer. For example, when Waze suggests your personalized routes, it might:

  • Avoid a street that you always take a detour around
  • Include your preferred highway exit or entrance
  • Prefer main roads over back streets

Note: If you delete drives from your navigation history, they won't be used for personalizing your routes.
