Share a location with Waze from Google Maps

You can share a location from Google Maps directly to Waze and start your navigation.

1. Find the location you want on Google Maps
2. Tap 
3. Tap . The location will open in the Waze app.
   Note: You may need to swipe left, tap More, then scroll down to find this icon.
4. Confirm that the location in Waze matches the one you want to drive to
5. Tap the location
6. Tap View routes
7. Tap Go now to start your navigation, or tap Leave later to plan a drive

Change your destination mid-drive from Google Maps

1. Find the location you want on Google Maps
2. Tap  
3. Tap . The location will open in the Waze app.
   Note: You may need to swipe left, tap More, then scroll down to find this icon.
4. Confirm that the location in Waze matches the one you want to drive to
5. Tap the location
6. Tap Go
7. Tap New drive
8. Tap Go now to start your navigation, or tap Leave later to plan a drive

Add a stop to your current drive from Google Maps

1. Find the location you want on Google Maps
2. Tap 
3. Tap . The location will open in the Waze app.
   Note: You may need to swipe left, tap More, then scroll down to find this icon.
4. Confirm that the location in Waze matches the one you want to drive to
5. Tap the location
6. Tap Go
7. Tap Add a stop

 

Android Auto

Share a location with Waze from Google Maps on Android Auto

Note: Make sure Waze is open in full-screen mode on your Android Auto display.

1. Find the location you want on Google Maps on your phone
2. Tap 
3. Tap . The location will open in Waze on your Android Auto display.
4. Confirm that the location in Waze matches the one you want to drive to
5. Tap the location
6. Tap Go now if you're navigating to a new destination

Change your destination mid-drive from Google Maps

1. Find the location you want on Google Maps on your phone
2. Tap  
3. Tap . The location will open on the “Along your route” screen in Waze on your Android Auto display.
4. Confirm that the location in Waze matches the one you want to drive to
5. Tap the location
6. Tap New drive
7. Tap Go now if you're navigating to a new destination

 Add a stop to your current drive from Google Maps

1. Find the location you want to add on Google Maps on your phone
2. Tap  
3. Tap . The location will open on the “Along your route” screen in Waze on your Android Auto display.
4. Confirm that the location in Waze matches the one you want to drive to
5. Tap the location
6. Tap Add a stop

Android Automotive (AAOS)

This feature is currently not supported on AAOS.

CarPlay
