Choose your Waze car icon

Choose a car icon to represent yourself on the Waze map instead of the default arrow. Your car icon is only visible to you.

Using Waze in your car? Choose a car icon on your phone. It'll apply when you use Waze in your car. If you're using Android Auto or CarPlay, make sure to disconnect your phone first.

1. Open Waze
2. Tap 
3. Tap Settings
4. Tap Map display
5. Tap Car icon
6. Select a car

I drive a motorcycle. Why can't I change the car icon?

When your vehicle type is set to Motorcycle, the motorbike icon appears. To change the icon, change your vehicle type to Private.

1. Open Waze
2. Tap Motorcycle, above the search bar
3. Swipe right on the image of the motorcycle to select Private
4. Tap OK
