Discover special driving experiences

Try a themed driving experience and get access to guest voices, exclusive moods, and car icons.

Using Waze in your car? Adjust your settings on your phone. They'll apply when you use Waze in your car. If you're using Android Auto or CarPlay, make sure to disconnect your phone first.

1. Open Waze
2. Tap 
3. Tap the special driving experience banner
4. Activate some or all of the experience’s features:
   • Moods
   • Car icons
   • Voices

Note: Special driving experiences may only be available in select regions for a limited time.

Moods

Express yourself on the Waze map with a mood. The mood you choose will be displayed to Wazers around you.

1. Open Waze
2. Tap 
3. Tap View profile
4. Tap Mood
5. Select your mood 

Note: Some moods are only available to Waze map editors of a certain level.

Car icons

Choose a car icon to represent yourself on the Waze map instead of the default arrow. Your car icon is only visible to you.

1. Open Waze
2. Tap 
3. Tap Settings
4. Tap Map display
5. Tap Car icon
6. Select a car

Voice directions

Get navigation directions in the language and voice of your choice.

1. Open Waze
2. Tap 
3. Tap Settings
4. Tap Voice and sound
5. Tap Waze voice
6. Select the voice you want to use
