When will I see my updates on the map? (Map build status)

Also known as "Map build process"

Updates to the map are published approximately once a day. This is known as the "Map Build Process".

After you’ve saved your Map edits, they won’t appear live in the Waze app or Live Map until the next Map Build Process is complete.

Check the status of my edit

1. Go to the Waze Map Editor
2. Click Tile build at the bottom of the screen. The status of your edits will be displayed.

The best time to make edits

Make sure to check the build status schedule before saving your edits. It is recommended to begin editing with plenty of time before the next build in order to avoid partial edits being updated to the map.

The small notification and the popup windows are color-coded to help you know when to make edits.

Blue status

A blue title bar means that there is still time to create new edits.

Orange status

An orange title bar means that you are running out of time to make your edits before the next Map Tile Build starts.
