Vehicles: Enhanced health and safety protocols
Frequent vehicle cleaning
- Our vehicles are cleaned at the start of each shift and disinfected throughout the day, paying extra attention to high contact surfaces
- Team members are trained in safe and uniform sanitization procedures, and are given appropriate personal protection equipment
Cabin air flush
- Our vehicle’s HVAC system automatically refreshes the cabin air after each trip is completed
Remote vehicle inspections between each ride
- Waymo’s Support team checks vehicles after every ride to keep a high standard of cleanliness
- Vehicles that need additional cleaning care are routed to our facilities to be fully cleaned and disinfected
Riders: Traveling safely
If you are sick please stay home
- If you have COVID-19, are experiencing symptoms that possibly may be COVID-19, or have been in contact in the last 10 days with someone known to have COVID-19, please do not ride
Keep your hands clean and minimize surface contact
- When starting a ride or contacting Support, you may consider disinfecting your hands
- To limit contact, you can use the mobile app on your phone rather than the passenger screen or "Help" button in the vehicle
Keep the air flowing
- We encourage you to roll the windows down slightly during your ride for added ventilation
