If you received an email or text message that you received money, check if it’s real:

  • Contact the sender to confirm that they sent you the money.
  • The first time you get money, tap Claim money and check that it opens the Wallet app Google Wallet app or wallet.google.com on your computer.
  • If you receive money via text message, make sure the link starts with https://g.co/ and is from 445-67.
  • The next time you get money, open the Wallet app Google Wallet app or sign in to wallet.google.com on your computer to confirm your transaction.

If you’ve set a default payment method, any money you receive will go directly into your preferred payment method.
