Use your Visa card to tap to pay or pay online with the Google Pay button. The more you pay, the more digital Paris 2024 mascots you’ll earn.
What you need
- Google Wallet app user with an Android device.
- Make sure you have the latest version of Google Wallet installed, and that Google Play Services and the Google Wallet app are up to date.
- Have a Visa card.
- Be in one of these Google Wallet supported countries.

How to participate in the campaign
- To participate in the campaign, you must opt in to the campaign.
- Add a Visa card in the Google Wallet app (if you don’t already have an existing Visa card in Google Wallet).
- Pay with your Visa card.
- You can tap to pay if you have a NFC-enabled Android device, or use the Google Pay button online.
Important:
- You can find the full campaign rules in the Google Wallet app.
- The campaign starts July 10, 2024 or soon after depending on your location. You will be able to find the campaign and digital Paris 2024 mascots in your wallet until December 31, 2024.
- Make sure you check the campaign page. When you pay online with Visa using the Google Pay button, digital mascots will appear in the Wallet app.
- Opting out of the campaign will remove the campaign page from the app, and you won’t receive campaign-related communications or digital mascots. If you decide to opt back in to the campaign, any previously earned digital mascots will be available.
How to earn digital Paris 2024 mascots:
You can earn up to 6 digital Paris 2024 mascots during the campaign:
- Add a Visa card in the Google Wallet app.
- If you already have a Visa card in Google Wallet, you will instantly earn your first digital mascot after opting in to the campaign.
- Pay in-store or online with Visa 1, 5, 10, 15, and 20 times.
In the Google Wallet app, check the campaign page for action details and requirements for each digital mascot.
If you are having issues adding a Visa card in the Google Wallet app
Important: If your bank doesn't support contactless payments, but your Visa card is saved in Google Wallet, you can still participate in the campaign by paying online with the Google Pay button.
- If you encounter an error message during setup, it might be because your bank doesn’t support contactless payments for your card. Find supported payment methods by country or region.
- Try adding a different Visa debit or credit card. For more information, learn how to add a card to the Google Wallet app.
If you are having issues paying with your Visa card
- To make a contactless transaction with a Visa card in your Google Wallet, make sure Near Field Communication (NFC) is on and Google Pay is set as your default payment app. For more info, learn how to fix problems with tap to pay transactions.
- If you are having issues with the Google Pay button at checkout, visit our help center.
- If the transaction is declined, contact your bank.
If you don’t receive a digital Paris 2024 mascot
- Make sure you’re in a supported country, and the campaign is still running.
- Make sure you opted in to the campaign and had a Visa card saved in Google Wallet before making the transaction.
- Make sure you completed a transaction with a Visa card. Only Visa transactions are eligible for this campaign.
If you have 2 devices with the Google Wallet app
- If you have more than one device with the Google Wallet app using the same account, and your other device already has an active Visa card set up, you will instantly earn your first digital mascot.
- To collect the other digital mascots, you can do one or both of the following:
- Add a Visa card to the Google Wallet app on your current device to earn digital mascots using tap to pay.
- Use your Visa card to pay online with the Google Pay button.
