Use transit loyalty cards in Google Wallet (UK only)

To earn transit offers and rewards and find insight into your transit activity, you can link a transit loyalty card to your debit or credit card in Google Wallet.

Who can use a transit loyalty card in Google Wallet:

  • Currently only available in the UK for Brighton & Hove.
  • One transit loyalty card can be linked to only one debit or credit card. If you use another debit or credit card, you must delete your existing transit loyalty card and create a new transit loyalty card when invited.

Get set up to add a transit loyalty card

  • Add a debit or credit card to Google Wallet. You will need to connect your transit loyalty card to this payment method.
  • To add a transit loyalty card, the Personalization within Wallet setting must be turned on. To enable this setting:
  1. On your phone, open the Google Wallet app .
  2. In the top right, tap your Profile picture or Account and then Your data in Wallet and then Manage passes data.
  3. Turn Personalization within Wallet on.

Add a transit loyalty card

Frequent commuters will be invited to add a loyalty card through an option under their debit or credit card in Google Wallet.

  1. On your phone, open the Google Wallet app .
  2. Under your debit or credit card, find the option to add a loyalty card for your transit provider.
    • If there’s no option to add a transit loyalty card, your transit provider may not be supported for loyalty cards in Google Wallet.
  3. Tap Get started.
  4. Tap Continue.
  5. Review the terms and tap Continue.
  6. Tap View in Wallet.

Remove a transit loyalty card

Important: When you remove a transit loyalty card, it won’t remove the debit or credit card from Google Wallet.

  1. Open Google Wallet app .
  2. Scroll to your passes.
  3. Tap the transit loyalty card and then More More and then Delete card.

Find transit info

With a transit loyalty card, you can find info in Google Wallet, which includes:

  • The debit or credit card connected to the loyalty card
  • Progress toward rewards like rides at no charge
  • Total amount saved over time
  • Recent trips and activity

To find transit info in Google Wallet:

  1. Open Google Wallet app .
  2. Scroll to your passes.
  3. Tap the transit loyalty card.
