To access supported office buildings securely, you can add your corporate badge to your Android device. You need:
- A phone that runs Android version 9 and up, with NFC turned on.
- A Wear OS device version 2 and up.
- The Google Wallet app installed on your device.
Add a corporate badge to Google Wallet
Important: You can add your badge to only one phone and one watch at the same time.
- On your Android phone, install “Google Wallet” from Play Store.
- Sign in with your Gmail account.
- Sign in on the employer app or website with the sign-in instructions from your employer.
- Scroll and find the “Add to Google Wallet” option.
- Tap Add to Google Wallet .
- If you have more than one device, select one.
- Tap Continue.
- Verify your identity with your screen lock or password.
- Tap View in Wallet.

Remove a corporate badge
Remove using the Google Wallet app on your phoneImportant: When you remove a corporate badge from the Google Wallet app on your phone, the badge won’t be removed from your smartwatch.
- Open the Google Wallet app .
- Scroll to find your corporate badge.
- Tap your badge.
- At the top right, tap More Remove card Remove.
- On your watch, open the Google Wallet app .
- Scroll to find your corporate badge.
- Tap Remove.
- Tap the check mark to remove.
Important: When you remove a corporate badge from your smartwatch, the badge won’t be removed from your phone.
- On your Android phone, open the Companion app.
- Select Google Wallet.
- Scroll to find your corporate badge.
- Tap your badge.
- Tap Remove Yes, remove.
Use your corporate badge
Important: For a list of locations that accept mobile corporate badges with Google Wallet, consult your office or employer.
After you add your corporate badge to Google Wallet, you can use your device for building, parking, and printing access.
- Wake up your device. You don't need to unlock it.
- Hold it to the card reader until you find a blue check mark on your screen.
Tip: For added security, you can set up your device so that it must be unlocked to complete an NFC transaction.
Fix problems with your mobile corporate badge
You can’t add your corporate badgeTip: If your device is rooted, or "jailbroken," runs a custom ROM, or has modified factory software, Google Wallet won't work due to security risks.
Update your Google Play services
Often, an error when you try to add your corporate badge can be fixed if you update Play services on your device.
- On your Android device or tablet, open Settings .
- Tap Apps & notifications See all apps.
- Scroll and tap Google Play Services.
- Scroll and tap App Details.
- Tap Update or Install. If those options aren't available, then your Google Play services are up to date.
Tip: If you can't find Google Play services, open Settings . At the top, search for Google Play services.
Not all buildings or employers offer this functionality. To check if this option is turned on, contact your building or employer.
Step 1: Remove your corporate badge from your current device
- Open the Google Wallet app .
- Scroll to find your corporate badge.
- Tap your corporate badge.
- In the top right, tap More Remove card.
Step 2: Set up your corporate badge on your new device
- Sign in to your corporate account with your username and password.
- Tap Add to Google Wallet.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
- On your new device, open the Google Wallet app .
- Scroll to find your corporate badge.
- Tap your corporate badge.
Important: You can add your badge to only one phone and one watch at the same time.
To add an existing corporate badge from your Google Wallet app to your smartwatch:
- On your Android phone, open the Google Wallet app .
- Scroll to find your corporate badge.
- Tap your badge.
- At the top right, tap More Add ID to watch.
- If you have more than one smartwatch, select a device.
- Tap Continue.
If your device is lost or stolen, you should:
- Find, lock, or erase your lost device. After you recover your device or get a new one, you can re-enable your corporate badge.
- Let your employer know that your device is lost.
To avoid this issue in the future, be ready to find a lost Android device.
