Keep your Wallet secure with a PIN timeout

You can keep your Google Wallet extra safe by choosing how often it "times out" automatically. When this happens, you'll have to enter your security PIN to unlock the app.

To set a timeout:

  1. Go to Settings and touch PIN timeout.
  2. Enter your Wallet PIN.
  3. Select your Wallet PIN's timeout duration.

If you choose 15 minutes or 1 day, you'll need a data connection each time you unlock your Wallet.

Keep in mind that your Wallet will ask for your PIN outside of your chosen timeout, even if you choose "Never," when transactions need extra security verification.
