If you can't find the Google Wallet app icon, look for 'Wallet' on your home screen or app launcher. Huawei users may continue to see both the Wallet and Google Pay app icons. Learn more.

Manage passes data

Your activity in Google Wallet is saved in your Google Account. This activity includes items like passes that you save to Wallet and how you use them. You can control how this data is used, what data is saved and manage your privacy settings.

About passes

In Google Wallet, passes include items like:

  • Gift cards
  • Travel cards
  • Boarding passes
  • Event tickets
  • Loyalty cards
  • Digital car keys
  • Campus IDs

Tip: Passes don't include payment methods, like debit and credit cards. Your payment methods continue to be managed separately under the Google Pay experience privacy settings. Learn how to manage settings for payment methods.

Passes data settings

Personalisation within Google Wallet

This setting allows Google Wallet to give you tips, suggestions and helpful features based on how you use your passes. Info like the types of passes that you saved and how you used them are used to personalise your Wallet experience.

This setting is turned on by default, and you can turn it off at any time. If the setting is off, you can still find and use any of your passes but your experience isn't personalised based on your activity.

To turn this setting on or off:

  1. On your phone, open the Google Wallet app .
  2. In the top right-hand corner, tap your profile picture or account and then Your data in Wallet and then Manage passes data.
  3. Turn Personalisation within Wallet on or off.

Tips:

Use passes across Google

This setting lets you access passes from your Google Wallet from within other Google products such as Google Maps and Calendar.

This setting is on by default, and you can turn it off at any time. If it's turned off, info from Google Wallet isn't shared with other Google services.

  2. In the top right-hand corner, tap your profile picture or account and then Your data in Wallet and then Manage passes data.

Tip: You can also update this setting on your computer at myactivity.google.com/product/wallet.

Turn off sharing for individual passes

Important: Certain objects aren't shared if they have sensitive info. For example, if you store a vaccination card in Google Wallet, it isn't accessible from other Google services.

If the passes privacy control setting is on, you can control whether you can access individual passes from within Google. To change the setting for an individual pass:

  1. On your phone, open the Google Wallet app .
  2. Tap the pass that you want to manage.
    • You may need to swipe to find it.
  3. At the bottom, tap Details.
  4. At the bottom, turn Use pass across Google on or off.
Personalisation across Google

Important: This personalisation setting isn't available if the setting 'Use passes across Google' is turned off.

When this setting is turned on, you may get personalised results and recommendations in places like Maps, Calendar and Assistant. Personalisation is based on the passes that you have in your Wallet and how you use them. You can turn this setting off at any time.

This setting is off by default; you can turn it on or off at any time. If it's turned off, you can still find and use any passes that you saved but you don't get personalised results and recommendations in other Google services.
