You can store a digital copy of your vaccination, test records, and other health passes in Wallet. Currently supported items include:
- COVID-19 Vaccine Card
- COVID-19 test record
- Other health passes, such as insurance cards
- Add health passes with the “Add to Google Wallet” option.
Where COVID-19 Vaccine Cards & test records are available
Important: This feature lets you store and display third-party info about your COVID-19 vaccination and test info. If you think the info displayed isn’t accurate or you have any other questions about it, contact your healthcare provider.
This feature is available in the countries or regions listed below. Check your country or region for specific healthcare providers, government agencies, or authorized third-party providers that support COVID-19 Vaccine Cards and test records.Australia Brazil Canada Jersey New Zealand
Add your COVID-19 Vaccine Card or test record
- Your device must have Android 5 or above and be Play Protect certified. For best results, we recommend that you update to the latest version of Android.
- Your COVID-19 Vaccine Card or test record is stored locally on your device. If you want to access your COVID-19 info on multiple devices, you must manually save the card on each device.
When you receive your test or vaccination, you may be given instructions about how to find your test results, vaccine status, or certificate online. If you don’t have that info, contact the organization or healthcare provider who administered your test or vaccine.
- With your device, go to the website, app, email, or text from your healthcare provider.
- Find your COVID-19 vaccination or test info.
- Find and tap Add to Google Wallet.
- If you’re asked if you want to save with Chrome or Google Wallet, choose Google Wallet. Tap Add to Wallet.
- If you don’t have one already, you may need to set a screen lock. This is for added security and to help protect your personal info.
- If you have a screen lock, you may be asked to unlock your phone.
- To add your COVID-19 Vaccine Card to your device, read through the consent info and tap I Agree.
- If you don’t have Google Wallet, you must download the Google Wallet app to continue. After you download the app, follow the on-screen instructions.
Tip: If you get more shots after adding your COVID-19 Vaccine Card, you must re-add your card with the steps above to update your info.
Scan the QR code on your Pixel phone to add a COVID-19 Vaccine Card
Important: This feature is available from healthcare providers that issue SMART Health Cards on Pixel 4 and later in the US, Canada, and Australia. To add quick access to a COVID-19 Vaccine Card with a QR code, you must install the Google Wallet app on your phone and have an active internet connection.
- Open your Pixel camera in "lens" mode.
- Point your camera at the COVID-19 Vaccine Card with QR code.
- If Wallet is the only app on your device that provides the QR code: To open the Wallet app, tap a chip that the camera shows.
- If multiple apps are registered as a QR code provider: You'll find a list of apps. You can select the Wallet app and add your card to Wallet.
- When prompted, tap Add to Google Wallet.
Find & use your COVID-19 Vaccine Card or test record
- Open the Google Wallet app .
- Find your COVID-19 Vaccine Card and tap it.
- If you don’t find it, scroll from the bottom of the screen until you do.
Your COVID-19 Vaccine Card will display the basic info about you, your healthcare provider, and your COVID vaccination or test. There may also be a QR code that can provide this info if you choose. To find more info, at the bottom, tap Details.
Delete your COVID-19 Vaccine Card
Important: Your COVID-19 Vaccine Card or test record is only stored on the device you add it to. Google doesn’t keep a copy of this info. If you delete your card, your COVID-19 vaccination and test info are deleted. To restore a COVID-19 Vaccine Card or test record deleted from your device, you must go through the steps to add it again.
You have control over how your data is used. After you add your COVID-19 Vaccine Card to your device, you can delete it anytime.
- To find your COVID-19 Vaccine Card, use the steps above.
- Tap your COVID-19 Vaccine Card.
- At the top right, tap More Remove.
Fix issues with your COVID-19 Vaccine Card
If you get the error message, "The COVID-19 Vaccine Card can only be added to Android mobile devices with Google Wallet":
- Find the email or text that your healthcare provider sent you to add your COVID-19 Vaccine Card or test record.
- Tap and hold the link.
- Select "Open in Browser" to open the link in your web browser, such as Chrome.
- Go through the steps above to add the card to Google Wallet.
If that doesn't fix the issue:
- On your phone, open Settings .
- In the search bar, type "Opening links" and tap it.
- Swipe to and tap Google Play services.
- Turn Open supported links on.
- Open the link from your health care provider again and try to set up your COVID-19 Vaccine Card or test record.

When you save your COVID Card on your phone, you ask your healthcare provider or authorized third party to provide us with certain information. You provide:
- Information about you such as your name and date of birth. This information may also include your national identity number if your chosen healthcare provider or authorized third party provides this information.
- Information about the provider of your COVID vaccination or test. This includes the name of the provider and their contact details.
- Information about your COVID vaccination and test
- If your COVID Card is about your COVID vaccination, this includes information such as the vaccine’s name, the lot and dose number, the date you received it, name of the administering entity, and your future appointment details.
- If your COVID Card is about your COVID test, this includes information such as the name of the test, the result, the date you received it, and the name of the administering entity.
- Information about your entry eligibility. If your corresponding government agency or authorized third party supports entry eligibility recommendation, this includes information on whether you’re cleared for entry and the date on which it expires.
With your consent, we process this information to create your COVID Card. Additionally, we record the fact that you consented. Learn more about how we use your information.
Important: Google creates your COVID Card with the information you choose to provide about you and your COVID vaccination and test. Google doesn’t independently verify this information. Google can’t confirm how complete or accurate this information is. If you think that this information is incorrect, contact your healthcare provider or authorized third party.
- Create your COVID Card. To create your COVID Card, we use the information that you provide to us through your chosen healthcare authority or authorized third party. This information isn’t shared with other Google services and we don’t use it for ad personalization.
- Store your COVID Card. Your COVID Card is saved and stored on your device.
- Keep a record of your consent. We keep a record of the fact that you provided your consent for Google to process your information to provide this feature. This record is kept for legal and regulatory purposes.
- Provide and improve this service. To provide and improve this service, we use information about how you use your COVID Card. For example, information about the number of people who use their COVID Card each day helps us to provide you with a reliable service.
We do not share your COVID vaccination or test information with other Google services or third parties. Your COVID information is stored locally on your device.
You can choose to share your COVID Card with others. To do this, you can access your COVID Card on your device and show the COVID Card to another person. When you allow another person to scan the QR code that’s displayed on your COVID Card, you allow them to read your COVID vaccination or test information that’s stored within the QR code.
