Call screening wont take option 1 to accept call 0 Recommended Answers 3 Replies 6 Upvotes

I have call screening enabled. When I answer, it announces the callers name (if provided) and says 'Press 1 to accept and 2 to send to voicemail.  When I press 1 it says 'OK, I've sent the caller to voicemail'. very aggravating. is this a known issue?

I am having the same issue and it is not making me happy.  I am having to call -people back and apologize because Google is having an issue.    Mine is not sending it to voicemail.  It is just not accepting the 1 at all.   I know the 1 works as I can dial the phone and use it in other areas.     If anyone knows the fix for this please let us know..

Having the same problem as stated above.  If I remove the Screen Calls option then the call will go through else I reply 1 and 1 again and the connection will drop ... not giving the caller a chance to leave a voice mail.

Same issue here.  We have several linked phones set up to answer calls.  When a call comes through, we answer on the device and the person calling has stated their name.  It says Press 1 to answer, 2 to send to voicemail.  No matter what I press, 1, 2 or nothing, it sends all the callers to voicemail.  If I turn off the call screening it will work for a little while, but then it will not let the call come through and says the voicemail has not been set it up.  So then I turn the call screening back on so that the GV will not be overrided by the carrier voicemail and then I can't answer because GV sends all calls to voicemail no matter if I press 1 or not.
