I use Google Voice as my primary phone number and send/receive quite a few texts everyday. Over the past 2-3 days, I've noticed text messages, both SMS and MMS being delayed in being received.

For example, I might send one message to a contact and they respond within a few minutes, but their response doesn't appear on my account until much later. In some cases this is just a few minutes, but in others it has been up to 2 hours. Obviously, extremely frustrating.

This doesn't have for every message, it doesn't happen for every contact, but it does seem to be happening more and more frequently. At first it was only happening once or twice in a day, but at this point it is happening for most of my messages.

Exchanging some texts with a friend today. I used the Google Voice web interface for my number, and send / receive was instant, no delays.

However the text sent by my friend, did not result in a notification and sound on my phone until 15 minutes after it showed up on the web. I believe when I didn't hear the sound, I opened Google Voice on the phone (Message tab), and her text was there. Just did not generate a sound / notification until 15 m delay.

I have been experiencing delayed email forwarding of voice messages -- happens with my Voice account intermittently.  Some days messages arrive very quickly.  Other days messages arrive in my email inbox many hours after the phone caller recorded his/her message.  VERY IRRITATING.  Have not figured out why it happens or how to fix the issue.  [This happens for me with voicemail audio transcription that is forwarded to my email.  I almost never receive texts so don't know if they are delayed.]

Also seem to be having issues with delayed text notifications on the Android app over the last few days.

I've toggled on the option to forward text messages to my linked number as a temporary workaround, however it would be great to get an engineer to look into any recently pushed app updates to see if something is causing this behavior.

I've been having this issue, but on and off for months now. They appear instantly on the web, but when I leave my house, they are often frustratingly delayed to my phone

Just happened to me today. I couldn't find the thread for someone that just texted last week, went searching for him and found a new message from 2.5hrs ago.  No alert, not in messaging thread. Very shitty for customers that do text our GV #

The last 2 days, we've been experiencing 3 to 4 hour delays for security verification codes. Hard to complete medical billing if you can't login on a website :-(
