I got a Google Voice number to use with a client's AdWords campaign landing page. When doing the setup, I choose the Google Voice number and go through the verification process (via phone as it is forwarding to a land line). Once I am done, the number forwarding is there in settings but the Google Voice number I just selected is not. All I see is "Choose a Google Voice Number" and a button to CHOOSE.
I have done this several times with the same results. I have even seen the number I just selected and verified as an available number when I try again! Also, I have tested the number I selected and it doesn't work. When I call the number it doesn't forward and there are no notifications on the Google voice page alerting me of the calls.
Please note that I am not using this account for setting up the number. I am using a different account--the same Google account I am using for the Adwords campaign.
What am I doing wrong?
