Use contacts in Voice

From Google Voice, you can call or send text messages to the contacts on your device. You can also add new contacts.

Call or message someone

You can call or send text messages to your contacts.

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Voice app .
  2. At the bottom, tap Contacts People.
  3. At the top, enter the person's name or phone number in the search bar.
  4. Next to the person's phone number, tap Call Call or Message Messages tab.

Add a contact in Google Voice

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Voice app .
  2. At the bottom, tap Contacts People.
  3. At the top, tap Add new contact.
  4. Enter the contact’s name, company name, phone number and email address.
    • To add a photo: Tap add photo.
    • To enter more information, such as a prefix or job title: Tap add field.
  5. When you've finished, tap Done.

After you've added a contact, it can take a few minutes to appear in your contacts list. Contacts added in Google Voice are also added to the Contacts app on your iPhone or iPad.

Edit or delete a contact

To edit or delete a contact, use the Contacts app on your iPhone or iPad.
