Buy a Google Voice Starter or Google Voice Standard plan as a Gmail user without a Google Workspace account. These plans previously required a Google Workspace add-on subscription. To access a professional-grade phone plan with premium features, you can buy Google Voice Starter for $10 USD a month or Google Voice Standard for $20 USD a month. These plans support individual users in the US with a personal Gmail account. No Google Workspace plan is needed.
Eligibility for Google Voice standalone plans
- Accounts that are ineligible are:
- Users with a non-Gmail email address.
- Users with a domain-verified Workspace account.
- If you have an @company.com account, your admin can purchase a Google Voice add-on subscription.
- Users under the age of 18.
- Users with Google Voice service associated with a Google Fiber plan.
- Users in the process of porting their phone number.
- You must complete or cancel the port to be able to purchase.
- Users with Google Workspace Individual.
- Users opted into Workspace Labs.
Tips:
- If you cancel your subscription, you must wait 30 days before you repurchase.
- Phone numbers which don’t support SMS aren’t eligible for Voice Starter or Voice Standard.
