If you choose to discontinue Google Voice, you can delete your number. You can also port your number out of Google Voice or transfer your number to a different Google Voice account. Learn how to port or transfer your personal number.
Important:
- This feature operates differently based on the type of account you have. Learn more about Google Voice account types.
- If you have a Voice Starter standalone plan, you can delete numbers in the Google Admin console. Learn how to unassign or reassign a Voice number.
- You can only use credits for long-distance and international calls and texts.
- If you have a Voice Starter subscription, you can’t purchase credits. Charges for long-distance and international paid calls and texts will appear on your monthly invoice.
To make paid calls without a Google Voice subscription plan, buy credit from Google Voice.
Delete your Google Voice number
Important: After you delete your Google Voice number, you can only reclaim it within 90 days.
- On your iPhone or iPad, open the Voice app

- At the top left, tap Menu

- Under Account, find the Google Voice number you want to delete.
- Tap
Delete.
