Trouble signing in?

When you sign in, you might get the following errors:

Error message Description
Your current account can’t use Vault. To continue, switch to an account with Vault privileges. Free Google accounts, such as accounts that end with @gmail.com, can't use Vault.

Solution: Sign in with a Google Workspace account provided by your employer.

Invalid Request Your account doesn't have permission to use Vault.

Solution: If you think you should have access to Vault, contact your administrator and ask them to follow the steps in Control who can sign in to Vault.

Signed in but can't do anything?

If you can sign in to Vault but can’t open any matters, retention rules, or reports, your Google Workspace administrator hasn’t given you Vault privileges.

If you think you should be able to use Vault, contact your administrator and ask them to grant Vault privileges to your account.

Note: If you are a Google Workspace administrator and need to set up user accounts so they can use Vault, see Control who can sign in to Vault and Understand and grant Vault privileges.
