Why are some reports missing from Marketing Optimization section?

The Marketing Optimization section will contain all available reports only if you are using the Urchin Traffic Monitor (UTM) to track visitors.

Unique Visitor Tracking in the Marketing Optimization section displays data about Unique Visitors. You must use the UTM if you want Urchin to track unique visitor traffic and populate corresponding reports with data. When the UTM is in use, Urchin can determine how many of the visitors are new visitors to your website and how many are returning visitors. This can be observed in New vs Returning report of Visitor Segment Performance.

If you do not use the UTM, the Marketing Optimization section will only contain the following reports:

Unique Visitor Tracking

  • Visits & Pageview Tracking Goal Conversion Tracking

Visitor Segment Performance

  • Referring Source Geo Location Geo Map Overlay Network Location Connection Speed Usernames Domains

Marketing Campaign Results

  • Medium Conversion Referral Conversion

Search Engine Marketing

  • Overall Keyword Conversion CPC vs Organic Conversion
