Accepting an invitation by SMS

If someone adds you as a trusted contact using your phone number, you will need to accept an invitation in order to request that person's location. If you don't accept the invitation, you will still receive an SMS message when that person shares their location with you.

To accept the invitation, click the link in the SMS message from the person that added you and follow the instructions to connect your Google Account.

After accepting an invitation, the person that added you will no longer see your phone number when they go to the Trusted Contacts app and instead will see information from your Google profile, such as your name and profile picture.
