Export, embed, and cite Trends data

You can add charts with Trends data to your website to share data on the topics you care about. Trends data can also be exported if you want to see a comprehensive list of search data.

Export Trends data

See a more complete list of search interest and related searches by exporting Trends data.

  1. Open Google Trends.
  2. If you're not signed in, in the top right corner, click Sign in.
  3. Search for a term like coffee.
  4. In the top right of the page, click the menuMenu icon.
  5. Click Download CSV file.
  6. Open the file using a spreadsheet application like Google Sheets.

Embed a Trends chart or table in your site

  1. Open Google Trends.
  2. Search for a term like lollipop.
  3. Under the chart, click the Embed button < / >.
  4. If you want, change the width and height.
  5. Copy and paste the HTML code into the body of your webpage.
  6. Click Done.

The embed feature isn't available for all Trends charts.

How to use and cite Trends data

You can use any information from Google Trends, subject to the Google Terms of Service.

If you reuse Trends data, attribute the information to Google with a citation. For example, if you include a screenshot of Trends data, add "Data Source: Google Trends (www.google.com/trends)."
