This article will guide you through the Stop Mapping and Market Sets dashboards within the Trains & Buses Quality and Integration section. These dashboards provide status into the quality of your stop and market data that will support you during the integration process with the Google Search Transport Unit.
I. Stop Mapping Dashboard
Purpose: The Stop Mapping dashboard focuses on identifying missing stops for all active integrations. It helps you identify this stops and actively action on them untill all the stops are matched with GTFS data.
Key Metrics & Visualizations:
- Table View: This provides a tabular representation of your stop data, including:
- Stop ID: Unique identifier for each stop.
- Stop Name: Name of the stop.
- Latitude/Longitude: Geographical coordinates of the stop.
- Mapping Status: Indicates whether the stop is correctly mapped or requires review.
- Filters: The dashboard allows you to filter the stops information per Integration , or to narrow down the data based on the matching status or stop id.
How to Analyze and Take Action:
- Identify Unmatched Stops:
- Use the table to identify the stop that are Unmatched for each integration.
- Filter the table view to show stops with a "unmatched" mapping status.
- Correct Mapping Errors:
- Update your stop file and share with the transport team (transport-help@google.com) or upload to the provided FTP details.
II. Market Sets Dashboard
Purpose: The Market Sets dashboard provides insights into the performance and coverage of your market set (origin-destination pairs). It helps you identify gaps in your market coverage and potential issues with your data integration.
Key Metrics & Visualizations:
- Table View: This provides a tabular representation of your market set data, including:
- Origin ID & Name: Unique identifier and name of the origin stop.
- Destination ID & Name: Unique identifier and name of the destination stop.
- Cachefill Status: Indicates the percentage of successful data retrieval for the market set.
- Available: Percentage of successful cache fills requests.
- Unavailable: Percentage of failed cache fills.
- Error: Percentage of cache fills that resulted in errors.
- Filters: Use filters to narrow down the data based on specific criteria.
How to Analyze and Take Action:
- Identify Market Sets with Low Cachefill Status:
- Sort the table view by "Cachefill Unavailable" or "Cachefill Error" to identify market sets with the highest failure rates.
- Investigate the reasons for the low cachefill status (e.g., data integration issues, API errors).
General Tips for Using the Dashboards:
- Regularly Monitor the Dashboards: Proactively monitor the dashboards to identify and address issues to suport a sucessfully integration.
- Export Data: Export the data for further analysis or reporting.
- Provide Feedback: Provide feedback using the feedback icon in the top right of the page to help us improve the functionality and usability.
