Travel Analytics Center version November 2021
We are happy to announce a refreshed new look for the Travel Analytics Center (TAC), a new Help Center devoted to TAC, and additional reports for Flights partners. Updates include enhanced data coverage and year over 2 year growth calculations.
Updates
Data coverage
TAC goes through periodic data refreshes to improve coverage, add new features, and address bugs. On November 2 the TAC back end acquired a new data source, resulting in improved Google.com query coverage and geography definitions for the Demand Explorer and Marketing reports.
Year over 2 Year (Yo2Y) comparisons
With the November 2 data updates, the Demand Explorer Destination Trends dashboards display year over 2 year rather than year over year period changes. This allows comparison of current metrics with those of a relatively stable period of time. Many of our partners reported a preference for these analyses due to the Covid-19 influence on travel during 2020.
What's New
New Help Center
The new TAC Help Center provides enhanced navigation and browsing capabilities, with a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page for each of the major TAC components. New users should begin with the Get started section.
Book on Google Performance Metrics
The Book on Google dashboard provides information on online traffic for Google Flights partners enabled on Book on Google. This dashboard includes metrics such as conversion rates, price breakdown, performance by origin/user countries, and booking error rates by category.
Enterprise Error Reports with Query Request Lookup
Multi-day and Intra-Day error reports are now available to QPX Connect partners. The reports show error rates over time and include sample result IDs for each type of error. Each report has an Overview tab and a Details tab. The Overview tab has high-level error stats over time by type and API. The Details tab shows a table categorized by error type along with a sampling of request IDs. Clicking on a request ID looks up the associated query request in Flight Tools.
