Trip summaries will no longer be available as of 1 May, though your travel reservations may still appear in other Google services. To save a trip summary, click or tap the Share button.

Find and manage your trips

You can get trip info, like your upcoming trips, reservations and research, on google.com/travel. google.com/travel organises confirmed reservations sent to your Gmail and any travel-related activity, such as:

  • Reservations for airlines, hotels, holiday rentals, car hire, restaurants, and train or bus travel
  • Travel research for upcoming trips
  • Suggestions for trip destinations
  • Information from past trips
  • Recent trip activity
Tip: To get all your travel information, make sure that you're signed in to the Google Account that you use to make your travel plans.

Set up your Google Account for travel

To find your trip reservations and travel research on google.com/travel, make sure that the following settings are turned on:

  • Smart features and personalisation in other Google products in Gmail: Get your trip information on google.com/travel, based on confirmation emails sent to your Gmail. Go to Gmail settings.
  • Private results in Google Search: This setting displays search results based on reservations that you've already made that only you can find. Go to Google Search settings.
  • Web and app activity in your Google Account: This setting lets you customise your experience across all Google products. Google saves your searches and website visits on devices that are signed in to your Google Account. Go to Google Account settings.

Review your upcoming trips

Important: Private info within your upcoming trips isn't shared with anyone else.

You can find all your travel info, like upcoming trips and past trips, on google.com/travel. Make sure that you're signed in to the Google Account that you used to make your travel plans and reservations.

When you have confirmed reservations for things like flights or hotel bookings, you can find your trip details on google.com/travel. To review important info, like flight departure times and confirmation numbers, click or tap an individual reservation.

Upcoming trips are automatically created based on confirmed reservations sent to your Gmail. If you can't find your reservation on google.com/travel and your confirmation emails have been sent to a non-Gmail account, forward your reservation confirmation emails to your Gmail. 

To turn off this feature, in your Gmail settings, turn off Smart features and personalisation in other Google products.

Edit your trip details

  1. Make sure that you're signed in to the right Google Account.
  2. Go to google.com/travel.
  3. Scroll to your trip.
  4. On your trip, click or tap More More.
  5. To change the name of your trip, destination(s), trip description or the start and end dates, click or tap Edit trip.

Edit your reservations

Important: Edits made to reservation info on google.com/travel don't change the actual reservation nor the content of the email from which the reservation was generated.

  1. Make sure that you're signed in to the right Google Account.
  2. Go to google.com/travel.
  3. Scroll to your trip.
  4. Click or tap the image of your trip.
  5. Scroll to view your reservations.
  6. On your reservation, click or tap Edit Edit.
  7. Update any details that you want to change, like flight, car or hotel reservations. 
  8. When you've finished, click or tap Save.

Add notes to your trip

Leave helpful comments in your itinerary or reservation.

Important: Make sure that you're signed in to the right Google Account.

To add a note to your itinerary:

  1. Go to google.com/travel.
  2. Scroll to your trip.
  3. Click or tap the image of your trip.
  4. On the right, click or tap Add to trip.
  5. On the 'Add to trip' pop-up, click or tap Note.
  6. Add your note and click or tap Save. You can find your notes at the top of your itinerary.

To add a note to your reservation:

  1. Go to google.com/travel.
  2. Scroll to your trip.
  3. Click or tap the image of your trip.
  4. On the right, click or tap the Down arrow Down arrow to expand your reservation.
  5. Click or tap Add note.
  6. Add your note and click or tap Save. You can find your notes at the bottom of your reservation. 

To edit or delete a note:

  • Click or tap the note, then click or tap Edit.
  • Click or tap the note, then click or tap Edit and then Trash Trash.

Delete trip

Important: When you delete a trip on google.com/travel, it doesn't cancel your reservation. 

  1. Make sure that you're signed in to the right Google Account.
  2. Go to google.com/travel.
  3. Scroll to your trip.
  4. On the trip info that you want to remove, click or tap More More.
  5. To remove trip info, click or tap Delete trip.

Confirm that you're a traveller on a trip

Receive updates to flight statuses and additional trip notifications when you confirm that you're a traveller on a trip. To confirm:

  1. Make sure that you're signed in to the right Google Account.
  2. Go to google.com/travel.
  3. Scroll through your potential and upcoming trips to find the trip that you want to update.
  4. To confirm that you're a traveller on the trip, under your trip name, turn on:
    • 'I'm travelling on this trip' for future trips.
    • 'I travelled on this trip' for past trips.

Share your trip details with someone

You can email your reservation with all dates and details included or share a link to your itinerary with personal information hidden.
Important: Make sure that you're signed in to the right Google Account.
Email your reservation details:
  1. Go to google.com/travel.
  2. Choose the trip that you want to share, then click or tap the Share button.
  3. To email your itinerary, click or tap Email reservation details.

Find trip suggestions

You can plan your trip and find activities at your destination with the help of trip suggestions. Google provides these suggestions based on the destinations and trips associated with the confirmed reservation emails sent to your Gmail.

Your trip suggestions are also based on your travel-related searches and clicks on Google Search.

  • Hotels are suggested based on your searches on Google and places that you've saved from Maps or Search.
  • Things to do are suggested based on what you search for or save on Google Maps and Search, or explore on google.com/travel.
To remove any saved item: Click or tap More Organise and then Remove.
Tip: When you remove an item from google.com/travel, it stays in your search and browsing history. If you want to remove an item from your search or browsing history, go to My Google activity.

Discover potential trips

Potential trips are travel suggestions based on your recent activity, like your searches, saved hotels and things to do, and prices that you're tracking. Suggestions are also based on your activity with other Google products, like Maps and YouTube.

To turn off this feature or find more information, go to See and control your web and app activity.

Find past trips

Past trips are previous trips that you created manually or that were created automatically based on confirmed reservations sent to your Gmail, along with their dates and other info.
 
To turn off this feature for automatically created trips based on confirmed reservations sent to your Gmail, in your Gmail settings, turn off Smart features and personalisation in other Google products.
