Things to do

We’re saying goodbye to Google Trips August 5, 2019. Many of your favorite
features will live on in other Google products. Learn more

The “Things to do” page shows you attractions that are organized into helpful categories such as “Top spots,” “For you,” “Indoors,” and “Kid-friendly.” Browse the relevant lists and tap on an individual attraction to find directions, opening hours, ratings and reviews, and other essential information. You can also view these attractions on a map.

A variety of sources, algorithms, and rankings are used to show you a diverse array of potential attractions. Aggregated data from travelers’ actual trips is used to determine relevance, typical visit duration, and other information.

Categories

Browse the categories by swiping left and right at the top of the screen. Most of the “Things to do” categories are self-explanatory. Here are a few descriptions:

  • For you: shows attractions that may be of particular interest to you, based on your Google search history.

  • Now: only appears once you've arrived at a destination. It takes into account the time of day and opening hours, and suggests things that are doable at the moment.

  • Nearby: focuses on your immediate surroundings and only appears once you've arrived at a destination. It does not take time into consideration when making suggestions.

  • Places A–Z: alphabetically lists attractions in the area you’re visiting.

Note: Not all categories are available for every destination.
