With AI-powered Flight Deals in Google Flights, you can discover great travel bargains tailored to your needs. Simply describe your ideal trip in your own words, whether it's a destination, travel dates, or just a general idea like a "weekend beach escape" and our AI will search for deals for you.
AI-powered Flight Deals is an experimental (beta) feature. It’s currently available only to signed-in users in English, in Canada, India, and the United States.
How AI helps you find deals
We use AI to bridge the gap between your travel ideas and the specific flight data needed to find deals. Here’s how it works:

Understands travel intent and interprets natural language, so you can describe your trip in your own words. For example, you can ask to "see the cherry blossoms in Japan" or look for "romantic weekend getaways" instead of selecting specific destinations and dates.

Identifies potential destinations and dates that fit your criteria. If you ask for a "beach escape," it’ll suggest flights to popular coastal destinations, saving you the time of researching them individually.
Next, we search Google Flights’ inventory from more than 300 partners to find the best matches for your search.
Tip: Because this process is experimental, the destinations and dates it suggests may not always be a perfect match.

How results are found & calculated
Important: Flight prices change often, so deals are subject to availability and the price you see may change when you go to book.
We consider a flight a "deal" when its price is significantly lower than the typical price for a similar trip. To determine the typical price, we analyze the median of the cheapest prices found for that route over the past 12 months, taking into account factors like the time of year, trip length, and cabin class. If you set filters for the number of stops or carriers, these preferences are also taken into account.

Savings Deals: When a flight's price is at least 20% lower than the typical price, we highlight it with a “% less than usual” badge and show you the typical price crossed-out.

Cheap Flights: We also show you some of the cheapest flights available to popular destinations that match your search. These may not be priced lower compared to their typical price but are still among the lowest fares available for the search. These results aren’t badged.
Tip: When you first go to the Flight Deals page without entering a search, we’ll show you a variety of deals from your location to popular destinations for week-long trips in the next 6 months. Popular destinations are determined by AI based on historically popular destinations matching your search.
How results are ranked
To help you find the best value, results are ranked first by the size of the savings, the highest percentage savings is shown first. If multiple deals have the same savings percentage, the one with the lower absolute price is shown first. Results without a savings badge are ranked by the lowest price.
Tip: Remember that flight prices change frequently, so the final ranking and availability may vary.
Frequently asked questions
Are there any searches that aren't supported yetYes. Since this is an experimental feature, we don't support every type of search yet. We expect the capabilities to expand over time, but for now, you may not get results for searches that include:
- Multi-city trips (for example, London to Paris, then Paris to Rome)
- Trips with multiple departure cities
- Travel dates very far in the future
- Specific passenger types (for example, children) or groups larger than 4 people
- Specific layover requests
