Increase translation word limit google docs
I realize that google translate has a 5000-word limit which seems to be transferred to google docs. Is there is a paid option to get a longer translation for google docs? Chopping a document up into 5000-word sections and the reassembling is an option but not a preferred one.

Did you know you could upload documents in the Google Translate website and translate the entire document?
If you have a document saved in Google Docs, you can directly translate the content without moving out of the application.

Unfortunately, it's the limitation and as a volunteer user I can't help you with that. Please feel free to send feedback within Google Translate website or app so Google may think of raising it further in the future releases.

Correct;
This limit is set to block abuse of the tool. A workaround would be to break the file into "chapters" and translate each chapter.

Thanks for taking the time to respond to my request.
As stated in my original question, I do realise that cutting my document into smaller subsections, translating and then re-bundling is a partial work around but an inconvenient one. Actually, it is quite difficult when using a reference manager that needs to compile a single bibliography from citations throughout an entire text which is normal practice for academic writing, e.g. Zotero.
I can understand why google wants to prevent abuse of the translate service through automated queries and thus imposes the 5000 word limit. However, I am not interested in the Web service but in accessing translation from google docs. It is not obvious to me how that kind of translation could be abused from within google docs since it would difficult to automate.

- First, as an engineer who spent a significant part of my professional career in academia and in engineering research, I would not recommend Translate for engineering / scientific or medical text.
- Hire a professional translator.

It actually answers a question in my original post " Is there is a paid option to get a longer translation for google docs? " and you also provide me with clarification on what google would consider abuse of their docs translation service.
I order not to drag-out this thread, I will now go and research this paid service, its costs and benefits relative to translation length and see if it is something useful for me given my needs.
