Why is there no Cantonese?

Question

I hope you will have a translation feature for Cantonese soon. Given that there are 80 million native speakers, I am disappointed that this feature is not available. The earliest known written form of written Cantonese dates back to the 16th century. I believe that easily accessible Cantonese resources will help ensure the longevity of the language. Also, millions of users are turning to Bing as they thankfully have this feature on their desktop and their app.

Just so you know this is a volunteer moderated product forum and we don't know when will Google bring back Cantonese to the Google Translate.
 
A few years ago, Cantonese was available in the product and then there was some issue and the team withdrew it and since then never heard anything from the team.

Open Google Translate app, tap on Profile icon, tap on Help and feedback and tap again on Feedback at the top and write down your feedback and submit it.
