Is the Google Translate Webpage Widget still free to use?
I recently went to
try and add the Google Translate Widget to one of my websites(opencart) and
found the page now says:
We no longer
provide new access to Google Translate's Website Translator. This change does
not affect existing use of the Website Translator.
We encourage
users looking to translate webpages to use browsers that support translation
natively.
I since found
the code for the widget here and tested it
in a webpage and it worked just fine. Is this not allowed or is that code
still available and free to use?

Hi there,
You read that right. Google Translate widget was retired some 2 years ago as Translate product was integrated into Chrome browser and the website owners no lnger needed to add the widget code within their websites.
Google Chrome offers translate for the users if they enable this option within the Google Chrome browser.
Having said that, users who wish to use Google Translate widget can fill in the form to receive the widget code if their website is not for profit. Once their requisition is reviewed and approved by the Google team, they would receive the widget code.
