Save translations

You can save your Google Translate history to find the meanings of words or phrases you translate. You can star and save translations up to 300 characters. Your saved translations sync across your devices.

Important: To save your translation history on Google Translate, sign in to your Google Account.

Save a word or phrase

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Translate app Translate app.
  2. Next to a translation, tap Star Add to phrasebook.

Find & delete saved translations

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Translate app Translate app.
  2. At the top left, tap Menu Menu and then Phrasebook.
  3. To remove a word or phrase, next to it, tap Star Remove from phrasebook.

Export saved translations

You can export translations from your Phrasebook on a computer.

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, go to Google Translate.
  2. Below the text boxes, tap Saved Remove from phrasebook.
  3. At the top right, tap Export to Google Sheets Export to Google Sheets.
Tip: You can also sort your entries alphabetically or by creation date. Translate automatically sorts your entries by most recent.
