See or delete your translation history

You can see and delete your past translations when using the Google Translate app, even when you're not connected to the Internet.

On Google Translate for the web, languages you've translated from and to are saved.

See past translations

  1. Open the Translate app .
  2. At the bottom of the Home screen, you can see your past translations.
  3. Tap a past translation to open it.

Tip: You can also save your translations to a phrasebook to see them later.

Delete a past translation

  1. Open the Translate app .
  2. Below the "Tap to enter text" field, you can see your past translations.
  3. Swipe the translation you want to delete to the left or right.

Clear your translation history

  1. Open the Translate app .
  2. In the top right, tap Settings Settings and then Clear translation history.
  3. Tap Ok.

You can also see your past translations on the mobile Google Translate page. This translation history isn't shared with the Translate app.

  1. Go to the Google Translate page.
  2. At the bottom of the page, tap History. You'll see a list of past translations.
  3. Tap a past translation to open it.

  3. Tap Clear history.
  4. When asked if you want to clear all translations, tap Ok.

Note: Mobile browser doesn't share a history with the Translate app.
