Browse by Name

Navigate to websites without URLs

You can enter a website's name into IE's address bar if you don't know its address or URL. For example, type oxford university and Toolbar knows to open the University of Oxford homepage. Toolbar will display Google search results for the closest matches if it's unfamiliar with the website you're looking for.

Enable or disable Browse by Name

  1. Click Toolbar's wrench wrench icon.
  2. On the General tab, select (or deselect) the 'Browse by Name in the address bar' Browse by Name checkbox.
  3. Click Save.

This feature isn't available in IE8+.
