Customize your Toolbar

To customize your Toolbar and make it even more useful, you can:

  • Add custom buttons to quickly get to sites, see news headlines, and more
  • Change your Toolbar's language and country
  • Access your Toolbar settings on any computer

Add or remove custom buttons

Quickly get to your favorite sites, search within sites, or see news headlines using custom buttons. To add or remove custom buttons:

  1. On the right side of the Toolbar, click the wrench
  2. Go to the Custom Buttons tab.
  3. Check the box next to any button you want to have in your Toolbar.
  4. Click Save.

Add more custom buttons

To see even more custom buttons you can add, including buttons created by people outside of Google, visit the Toolbar Button Gallery. You can also visit the gallery directly.

  1. On the Toolbar, click the Button Gallery button. (Don't see the button? Try clicking More.)
  2. Click Open Full Gallery.
  3. In the gallery, find the button you want to add. Click Add to Toolbar under the button description.
  4. In the dialog that appears, click Add.

Rearrange custom buttons

To change the order of how custom buttons appear on your Toolbar, follow these steps:

  1. Click Toolbar's wrench
  2. Go to the Custom Buttons tab.
  3. Drag and drop buttons to reorder them in the list. Or, click Edit next to a button and click the arrow icons to move it up or down.
  4. Click Save.

Change your Toolbar language

Access your Toolbar settings anywhere

You can save your Toolbar settings, like your custom buttons and language settings, to your Google Account so you can access them on any computer.
