Translate words

You can instantly translate a word by pointing your cursor at it. First, make sure that "word translation" is turned on.

Turn "word translation" on

  1. On the right side of the Toolbar, click the wrench
  2. Go to the Tools tab.
  3. Check the box next to “Translate.”
  4. Click the Edit link.
  5. Choose the language you want to translate into.
  6. Click Save.

Now when you point your cursor at a word on a webpage, a translation should appear.

Turn off "word translation"

  1. On the right side of Toolbar, click the wrench
  2. On the left side of the window, click the Tools tab.
  3. In the "Translate" section near the bottom, click Edit.
  4. Uncheck the box next to “Translate words in other languages into.”
  5. Click Save.

Now, translations won't appear when you point at words.

Translate entire webpages

You can also translate entire webpages using Google Toolbar.
