When you complete a task or list, you can delete it so it no longer appears as a to-do item.
Delete a task
- Go to Gmail, Calendar, Chat, Drive, or a file in Google Docs, Sheets, or Slides.
- On the right, click Tasks

- Next to the task you want to delete, click Open menu
.
- Click Delete.
- To cancel, click Undo.
Delete a list
- Go to Gmail, Calendar, Chat, Drive, or a file in Google Docs, Sheets, or Slides.
- On the right, click Tasks
.
- At the top, click the Down arrow
. Then, choose the list you want to delete.
- Next to "Add a task," click More
.
- Click Delete list.
