Managing your monitored domains in Tag Diagnostics gives you more control over which domains you get alerts for. You can choose to ignore domains that are not relevant to you, so that you can focus on those that are important. You can also re-activate alerts for ignored domains if needed.
To make changes to your monitored domains, you must have Editor access to your Google tag, and the permissions to approve and publish in your Google Tag Manager container.
Exclude domains from Tag Diagnostics alerts
- Open the Google tag settings.
- Under “Your Google tag,” in the “Tag quality” section, select View diagnostics.
- In the “Monitored domains” section, select Manage. This screen displays a list of all domains associated with your Google Tag Manager container, categorized as “Monitored” or “Not monitored”.
- In the “Monitored” section, click the minus icon
next to the domain you want to exclude.
Add domains to Tag Diagnostics alerts
- Open the Google tag settings.
- Under “Your Google tag,” in the “Tag quality” section, select View diagnostics.
- In the “Monitored domains” section, select Manage. This screen displays a list of all domains associated with your Google Tag Manager container, categorized as “Monitored” or “Not monitored”.
- Expand the “Not monitored” section, then click the plus
icon next to the domain you want to monitor.
Domains that have been inactive for more than 60 days will be automatically removed from the list of monitored domains until traffic is detected again. Domains in the “Not monitored” list will no longer trigger alerts, but tagging is not affected. At least one domain should remain monitored to receive diagnostic alerts.
