- Existing plans remain active and are unaffected by this change.
- Device protection remains available for third-party devices only.
- Across both Google Fi and Store for Pixel devices, Google now offers a new protection program called Pixel Care+ for users in the US.
Device protection from Google Fi, and Extended Warranty and Preferred Care from Google Store are different programs from Google that give your phone extra protection. With these programs, you can get your phone repaired or a replacement device in the event of accidental damage (including drops, cracks, and spills), or mechanical breakdown beyond the manufacturer’s warranty period.
