Check warranty eligibility

Your warranty may cover a replacement, repair, or refund.

You can check the status of your warranty, Pixel Care+, or Preferred Care when you go to Your devices. Regardless of where you purchased them, you can find all your Made by Google devices that are signed into your account. If you can't find one you own, you can manually add a device.

Confirm your warranty coverage

Important:

  • All items bought from Google Store, such as Pixel phones or Google Nest, come with a limited warranty.
  • You can return your item and get a refund if you're within the standard return period. If you return your item, you won’t get a replacement. Learn more about how to return an item.

Before you start a repair or replacement process, you need to check the warranty type and coverage for your item.

  • If you have Preferred Care: To start a claim, go to this link.
  • If you have Pixel Care+: To start a claim, go to this link.

What affects eligibility

These details can affect your item's warranty coverage.

Warranty period

Important: Nothing in this article affects your legal statutory rights.

Your device is covered under warranty if the warranty is still within the warranty period. You can extend beyond the standard warranty period as long as you purchased:

  • Pixel Care+ from Google Store or Google Fi
  • Preferred Care
  • Device protection

Item condition

You may get warranty support if your device experiences issues like:

  • It doesn't charge properly.
  • it doesn't turn on.
  • It freezes often.
  • It has problems with the microphone, speaker, or buttons.
  • It has trouble getting internet or cell signal.

You might not get warranty support for your device if:

  • You dropped the item and it got damaged.
  • Debris entered the USB-C port and it stopped working.
  • You lost the device, it was stolen, or you don't have it anymore.
  • The device malfunctions due to liquid damage.

Purchase from a third-party retailer

Important: Nothing in this article affects your legal statutory rights. Google repair isn’t available in Taiwan.

  • Devices purchased through authorized third-party retailers or carriers have Google warranty support.
  • If you bought your Google device from an unauthorized third-party retailer or carrier, contact the retailer or carrier directly.
  • If you bought a refurbished Google device from an authorized third-party retailer or carrier, contact them directly.

Tip: For warranty replacement of Google devices bought from a Signifi-owned kiosk, contact Google Support.

Test for liquid damage

Important: This feature is only available in the US for Pixel 10 devices.

To check for potential liquid damage to your Pixel phone, you can use its built-in test function.

  1. Go to "Your Devices" at store.google.com/my-devices.
  2. Select the device you want to test.
  3. Under "Actions," select Test for liquid damage.
  4. Follow the instructions.

Understand your warranty when you move to another country or region

When you move to another country or region, you can't update your warranty policy. Warranty coverage only comes from the country or region where you made the purchase.
